After Edmonton, it didn’t make a lot of sense to go back to Jasper to come down the Ice Field Parkway so we took highway 11 then 93 down to Lake Louise.
We found a nice place for coffee called The Crosseyed Giraffe.
He we entered Banff National Park again.
We stopped at Saskatchewan River Crossing (overpriced food) and ate as we were starving.
We made it to Lake Louise after 4pm without a hotel.
It was getting dark by the time we left Lake Louise and hoped to find nice accommodation. Paradise Lodge and Bungalows had a vacancy sign but looked extremely expensive. We stopped to ask and they gave us the cabin at a great rate.
I don’t think we could have done better. We ended up staying two nights as the cabin and area were beautiful.
