We try to avoid chain restaurants and find local flavour; here we found Hungry Herbies. 

 
Arriving at Kamloops, we found an inexpensive hotel near the centre of town and went for a hike on local trails. 

The trains were being shunted and we recalled the women’s 2016 world hockey championships will be held in Kamloops. They touted it on the railway bridge.
